COMPANY INFORMATION:

We are “The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football” and one of six continental confederations of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). CONCACAF serves as the governing body of football in this part of the world. It is composed of 41 national associations united by the passion for football, from Canada in the north to Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana in the south.

CONCACAF is committed to develop, promote and manage football throughout the region.  

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Club Competitions Intern will provide needed support for the Club Competitions group in areas such as administration, match preparation and research. In addition to the preparation and execution of Champions League matches, we are continually researching how to improve the competitions as well as trying to develop other club competitions and request this additional help to gather much needed research. The interns will receive weekly tasking with timelines for completion. 

Additionally, the interns would help in creating consistency in our filing systems and gathering information that has been spread out over our servers and consolidate it into one repository.

The timeframe would last 13 weeks although this will be determined by the availability of the interns and may finish shortly before or after the 13 week period. In most cases, the interns will be enrolled students utilizing this position for credit whereby a weekly summary will be provide to the school with updates on the interns progress. In other cases, some applicants will be recently graduated students looking to gain experience in the sports industry. 

It would be preferable whenever possible to provide the interns with cross training in other departments when there is a high volume of work allowing for the interns to gain additional insight in the organization as well as to help alleviate the addition departmental workload. 

         Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the intern will be required to work varying schedules including game nights and some weekends to reflect the business needs of the company.
